Air Cleaners EPA Initiatives

The Environmental Protection Agency is an organization that provides for most statistics and standards used in the air cleaners industry. The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, has many initiatives that they have taken in order to promote cleaner indoor air. The EPA guides businesses and companies to conduct their business in a more environmentally sound way. The EPA helps with regulations for air cleaners and has many other tasks they are involved with. The members of the association are generally involved in one or more of the initiatives that the EPA is trying to achieve.

One of the initiatives that the EPA is working on is called the National Environmental Performance Track. This initiative recognizes top environmental performance among United States facilities. One of the biggest issues that this initiative addresses is the prevention of pollution. In order to be recognized by the EPA for pollution prevention, most United States facilities that are involved in this program try to develop ways to prevent pollution at their sites. The facilities that are accepted for participation can be any size or type as long as the application is filled out and approved by the EPA. This initiative currently holds 300 facilities that are striving to prevent pollution in their everyday tasks.

Another initiative from the EPA is called the Risk Management Program. This program required over 64,000 facilities in the United States to submit a risk management plan to the EPA. This initiative keeps these facilities in line with the standards and regulations that are set forth. It prevents them from being careless with pollution. The program requires these facilities to come up with a plan to prevent pollution and promotes clean air. The EPA checks on these facilities to make sure their risk management plan is in action with random audits.

The Environmental Protection Agency has also developed an initiative called the Environmental Leadership Program. This initiative worked with a few different corporations to improve the way they did business. The EPA helped these corporations to do business in a cleaner and safer environment with less pollution. The association aided these corporations into figuring out plans to prevent pollution in their work environment and have cleaner and safer air for their employees. The EPA worked with these corporations on issues such as environmental management systems, self-certification, public accountability, and community involvement, mentoring and multimedia compliance assurance. The program is currently on hold but this once action is taken, it will soon be able to help corporations to do business in a more environmentally sound way.

Another initiative that was developed by the Environmental Protection Agency is called the Common Sense Initiative. This program is geared toward all different industries. It’s a program that is focused on helping industries with different needs to stay environmentally safe. This initiative helps these industries to operate in a clean manner and to promote clean air and low pollution. The program uses a “sector by sector” approach to keeping the environment clean and respects the fact that each industry has different needs. There are 40 different projects that are currently being worked on to help the Common Sense Initiative. This initiative will test different elements of environmental management for six types of industries in order to achieve a way to conduct business while still being environmentally friendly.

These are only some of the initiatives that the Environmental Protection Agency has developed and is working on. The agency also promotes clean air and less pollution in corporations and industrial plants. The EPA believes in a world free of pollution and contaminants. Without the EPA, the air cleaning industry would not have an agency on their side and fighting for clean air. The agency is also important to the air cleaning industry due to the standards and statistics they provide for consumers. The agency is dedicated to the safety and purity of the environment and implements any plans and procedures that are necessary in order to achieve this goal. The Environmental Protection Agency gives the guidelines to each industry on their pollution standards. They also help these industries by finding ways they can conduct business in a cleaner way. The EPA is a well-respected and innovative agency that is experiencing even more growth and expansion due to its good deeds.
