Air cleaners have come a long way since the first air
cleaner was invented many years ago. Blueair air cleaners are known to
be the leader in filter technology and can give you two separate
filtering options. Either particle and gas filtration or tobacco smoke
filtration designed for heavy smoking areas. The HEPASilent filters is
what makes them one of the most successful air cleaner manufacturers
today. They can clean a room up to 550 square feet,
completely exchanging the air into clean air in eleven and a half
minutes. In much smaller rooms the air exchange is about every three
minutes.
The 601 air cleaner can deliver 450 cubic feet of clean air per
minute using a very quiet operation due to the patented HEPA silent
technology. These air cleaners are designed to remove microscopically
small particles at 99.97 percent efficiency and at 0.1 microns. This
also includes pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, tobacco
smoke, and gases that terrorize our air on a daily basis.
The Mechanical Technologies
The Blueair filter technology is specifically designed for those who
suffer from asthma, allergies, and other respiratory problems on a daily
basis. The filtration unit is known as an a ward winning filter
technology that is silent when running and is considered to be ranked in
top of its class up against other air cleaners. Blueair offers a ten
year limited warranty on the air cleaning units.
These machines give off very low sound and are perfect for sickrooms,
offices, light sleepers, and anywhere that having no noise is very
important. Due to the precision engineering materials that are used to
design the Blueair air cleaners, they are made to effectively clean the
most amount of area and have up to twenty one air changes per hour. That
is more than any other air cleaner on the market. The Blueair air
cleaners produce a gentle flow of air instead of like many other air
cleaners that produce a drafty, windy stream of clean air. They take in
air from all sides, even the bottom unlike other air cleaners that only
take in air from one side.
In the government standards listed for all indoor ozone by the Food and
Drug Administration (FDA), it is specific that the output of ozone by
any type of machine can not be more than 50 parts per billion (ppb). In
tests to show the output of ozone from Blueair purifiers, it was shown
that these air cleaners only put out three parts per billion, which is
still a small fraction of safe amount of ozone.
How It Works
The way that the Blueair air cleaners work are as follows. Contaminated
air that is in the room is taken in through the airflow intake which are
on all sides of the unit, even the top and bottom. That air is then put
through the area where there are ionizer brushes that charge the pollen,
dander, dust, and other small particles that cause respiratory problems.
Once those particles are charged they are carried to HEPASilent filters
that are made of nontoxic polypropylene instead of paper like the
regular HEPA filters are made of. The polypropylene filters are also
waterproof with eliminates the risk of bacteria building inside the
filter over time. The first filter in the HEPASilent filter traps the
larger particles such as pollen, pet dander, and dust. The second
filtering process traps the smaller particles such as airborne viruses,
bacteria, and any particles that may have slipped through the first
filter. Each filter is made up of thin fibers that vary in sizes. This
makes it easier for the filters to collect particles of all sizes as
well. A regular HEPA filter does not have this advantage. Many particles
would be missed in a regular HEPA filter that wouldn’t have a chance
with the HEPASilent filter.
Once the air goes through its process it is then returned to the room
free of contamination. The air cleaners by Blueair produces the least
amount of noise unlike other air cleaners on the market. When choosing
the right air cleaner for your home, be sure to pick the one that is
right for the size of room that you have. By doing this, the unit will
work more efficiently.
