The HealthMate air cleaners contain a HEPA filter and a carbon and
zeolite unit. The carbon and zeolite are designed to help remove the
odors and dangerous gases in the air. It is 14.5 inches in height and
13.5 inches in diameter. It has sixty square feet of a medical HEPA
filter and about fifteen pounds of solid activated carbon and zeolite
mixture. It meets all of the HEPA standards by trapping 99.97% of
particles that are much larger than 0.3 microns. There are foam sealing
gaskets on both the top and the bottom of this unit and it weighs at
total of 23 pounds.
Not only does it contain the HEPA filter and the carbon and zeolite, but
it also contains a premafilt pre filter which is designed to trap the
larger particle that the HEPA filter could not trap. This filter is also
designed to be conveniently vacuumed from the outside of the unit. This
allows it to reduce the amount of pre filter changes that may be needed.
The fan runs at 400 cfm on the high setting and cleans a room up to
about 1500 square feet. HealthMate air purifiers come with a five year
warranty on all labor and parts for repairing it and the filter also has
a five year pro rated guarantee only under normal use. This unit has
four wheel canisters so that it can be moved very easily if needed.
